Ragging itself is a vast subject that must not be practiced. It is a criminal offence that can lead to four years of imprisonment and a huge fine as well. Wait a minute... haven't I told you that it can ruin your entire career ? Yes, it can. Ragging always hurts whether it be physical or psychological.
The mindset of 'powerful has the right to force the weak' is the basis of this social evil. Ragging isn't so new in the country. The chain was formed a long time ago. This chain consists of links which once broken will end this curse and the people involved in breaking it will be the heroes of the nation.
Take yourself back in your past. Remember the day you entered into college with millions of memories. You had many questions in your head. After all, you were going to a strange place with no friends. Ask yourself a question - "How did I feel when I was ragged ? " Obviously it is a bad experience for all of us.
One of the prominent reasons of ragging is to get respect from the juniors. Have your parents tortured you for giving them respect ? No, they treated you with care and love. Truly said that "Love is more powerful than hatred". The one you are ragging has many aspirations. He is the hope of his family. Please don't kill these aspirations and hopes for your fun (or in peer pressure). We need to end this shit right now because if not now, then never.
